April 15 (Bloomberg) -- Alleghany Corp. the insurer that acquired Transatlantic Holdings Inc., said John Sennott has been hired as chief financial officer, replacing Roger Gorham, who will oversee the company’s fixed-income portfolio.
Sennott, 47, is former executive vice president and chief corporate strategy officer at Allied World Assurance Company Holdings AG, according to a regulatory filing today from New York-based Alleghany. Gorham’s new duty was announced in January.
