Feb. 28 (Bloomberg) -- Japanese investors were net sellers of foreign bonds during the week ended Feb. 22 according to figures based on reports from designated major investors released by the Ministry of Finance in Tokyo.
Japanese investors sold 665.4 billion yen ($7.2 billion) in overseas bonds and notes, sold 106.4 billion yen in overseas stocks and sold 10.8 billion yen in overseas short term securities. That results in a total net sale of 782.6 billion yen.
Foreign investors sold 82.6 billion yen in Japanese bonds, bought 190.4 billion yen in stocks, and bought 534.2 billion yen in short term securities, resulting in a total net purchase of 642 billion yen.
