Feb. 26 (Bloomberg) -- The U.K.'s benchmark stock index, the FTSE 100, fell 1.34 percent at 8:05 a.m.
The index of 101 stocks traded on the London Stock Exchange fell 85.18 to 6,270.19.
Declines in the FTSE 100 were led by HSBC Holdings Plc (HSBA LN), Royal Dutch Shell Plc (RDSA LN) and BP Plc (BP/ LN). About 26.41 million shares traded in the FTSE 100.
