Feb. 22 (Bloomberg) -- Canada’s wheat production in the 2013-14 marketing year that begins Aug. 1 will be 28.5 million metric tons, up 4.8 percent from a year earlier and unchanged from the previous forecast, Agriculture & Agri-Food Canada said.
The country’s canola harvest in the next season will be 15.5 million tons, 16 percent higher than a year earlier and unchanged from the previous estimate made Jan. 28, the government said in a report e-mailed yesterday. Barley production, also unchanged from the last forecast, will be 9 million tons, up 12 percent from a year earlier.
