Feb. 19 (Bloomberg) -- European coal for 2014 delivery dropped as crude oil prices declined.
Thermal coal for delivery to Amsterdam, Rotterdam or Antwerp lost as much as 0.3 percent to $98.70 a metric ton and traded at $98.85 at 4 p.m. London time, according to broker data compiled by Bloomberg. The contract has lost 17 percent in the past 12 months. Brent crude for April settlement dropped as much as 0.7% to $116.55 a barrel on the London-based ICE Futures Europe Exchange.
