Feb. 15 (Bloomberg) -- Japanese investors were net sellers of foreign bonds during the week ended Feb. 8 according to figures based on reports from designated major investors released by the Ministry of Finance in Tokyo.
Japanese investors sold 645 billion yen ($6.9 billion) in overseas bonds and notes, sold 228.6 billion yen in overseas stocks and sold 40.2 billion yen in overseas short term securities. That results in a total net sale of 913.9 billion yen.
Foreign investors sold 261.6 billion yen in Japanese bonds, bought 212.9 billion yen in stocks, and bought 298.4 billion yen in short term securities, resulting in a total net purchase of 249.7 billion yen.
