Feb. 9 (Bloomberg) -- Mali defeated Ghana 3-1 in the third-place match at soccer’s Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.
Mahamadou Samassa, Seydou Keita and Sigamary Diarra scored for Mali at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth. Kwadwo Asamoah had the goal for Ghana.
Burkina Faso plays two-time champion Nigeria in the final tomorrow in Johannesburg. Burkina Faso is seeking its first title in Africa’s continental championship.
