Feb. 3 (Bloomberg) -- Indiana University knocked off top-ranked University of Michigan 81-73 while Oklahoma State University stopped the No. 2 University of Kansas’ 18-game win streak with an 85-80 victory in college basketball games.
In other games involving top-five teams last night, it was No. 4 Florida 78, No. 16 Mississippi 64 and No. 5 Duke 79, Florida State 60.
Cody Zeller scored 19 points and Victor Oladipo added 15 as the third-ranked Hoosiers defeated Michigan in their Big Ten Conference contest at Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Indiana.
Indiana improved to 8-1 in the Big Ten with Michigan at 7-2 in the conference, and both teams are now 20-2 overall.
Each Hoosiers starter scored at least 11 points, including Christian Watford and Kevin Ferrell with 14 apiece and Jordan Hulls scoring 11.
Trey Burke led the Wolverines with 25 points and Tim Hardaway Jr. added 18.
In the other upset, Markel Brown scored 28 points and Marcus Smart added 25 as Oklahoma State (15-5, 5-3 Big 12) ended the Jayhawks’ 33-game home winning streak at Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence, Kansas.
The Cowboys trailed 66-62 until they went on a run that gave them a 73-68 lead with just over a minute left in the game.
Ben McLemore had 23 points and Kevin Young added 12 for Kansas, which fell to 19-2 and 7-1 in the conference.
