Jan. 28 (Bloomberg) -- Iran President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is seeking to strengthen links with neighboring Afghanistan, saying Iranian electricity and water companies have opportunities there, the state-run Fars news agency said.
Iranian Energy Minister Majid Namjou visited the Afghan capital Kabul and discussed boosting such ties with President Hamid Karzai and Energy and Water Minister Muhammad Ismail Khan, Fars said.
While there, Namjou inaugurated two Iranian-made electricity turbines, the news agency said.
