Jan. 26 (Bloomberg) -- Marc Gasol scored 20 points to help the Memphis Grizzlies rout the Brooklyn Nets 101-77 in a National Basketball Association game.
Memphis (28-14) is second in the Western Conference’s five-game Southwest Division, 4 ½ games behind the San Antonio Spurs. The Nets (26-17) are 1 ½ games behind the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference’s five-team Atlantic Division.
The Grizzlies ended the first quarter with a 32-22 advantage and then finished the half 67-44 on their home court at FedExForum. In the second half, Memphis expanded its lead to as many as 30 points.
Mike Conley added 14 points and Zach Randolph contributed 12 for the Grizzlies.
Brook Lopez scored 18 points for the Nets, while Deron Williams added 12 points.
