Jan. 24 (Bloomberg) -- The pound depreciated against the euro, sliding as much as 0.7 percent to 84.61 pence, the weakest level since Feb. 29. It traded at 84.53 pence as of 1:38 p.m. London time.
Sterling fell as much as 0.5 percent to $1.5760, the least since Aug. 28, before trading 0.4 percent weaker at $1.5780.
