Jan. 24 (Bloomberg) -- Japanese investors were net sellers of foreign bonds during the week ended Jan. 18 according to figures based on reports from designated major investors released by the Ministry of Finance in Tokyo.
Japanese investors sold 35.2 billion yen ($397.3 million) in overseas bonds and notes, sold 235.3 billion yen in overseas stocks and bought 37.2 billion yen in overseas short term securities. That results in a total net sale of 233.3 billion yen.
Foreign investors bought 485.7 billion yen in Japanese bonds, bought 196.2 billion yen in stocks, and sold 1091.1 billion yen in short term securities, resulting in a total net sale 409.2 billion yen.
