OFT’s Chief Economist to Leave Regulator for University Post

The Office of Fair Trading’s chief economist, Amelia Fletcher, will leave the regulator to become a university professor.

Frank Shepherd, a spokesman for the London-based antitrust agency, said in a telephone interview that Fletcher would take up a post at the Norwich Business School at the University of East Anglia in April. The university announced the appointment in a statement on its website earlier today.
