Lebanese Minister Survives Attack on His Convoy, NNA Says

Jan. 18 (Bloomberg) -- The convoy of Lebanese Minister of Youth and Sports Faysal Karami came under fire in the northern city of Tripoli today and four of his bodyguards were injured, the official National News Agency said.

Karami survived the attack and the army has deployed troops near his residence, the agency said. The city has seen intermittent clashes between supporters and opponents of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
