Manchester City Want to Sign Derby’s Hughes: Roundup

Chasing Hughes

Manchester City may offer as much as 7 million pounds (11 million pounds) for Derby player Will Hughes, the Sun reported.

David Platt, an assistant manager at City, watched the 17-year-old play at Brighton last weekend. The midfielder is also wanted by Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

Chelsea Loses?

Chelsea may lose out on signing Atletico Madrid striker Falcao to Paris Saint-German, the Sun reported.

Falcao, who is valued at 48 million pounds, prefers Paris over London. “France is a really fantastic country - and PSG have an ambitious sporting project in place,” the paper quoted the player as saying.

Fulham Watching

Fulham manager Martin Jol may pay as much as 3 million pounds for 18-year-old Waregem defender Bernard Malanda-Adje, the Daily Mirror reported.

Malanda-Adje has played in every game for the Belgian club since he joined them from Lille.

Zaha Manchester-Bound?

Speculation is mounting Wilfried Zaha may be leaving Crystal Palace for Manchester United for as much as 15 million pounds, the Daily Express reported.

“Looks like I’m on my way to the top of the Premier League,” Zaha wrote on his Twitter page before deleting it.

Aspas Bid?

Chelsea has made an 8.5 million pound bid for Celta Vigo forward Iago Aspas, the Daily Star reported.

The 25-year-old player has scored eight times in 18 games this season.

Chelsea may allow the player to stay with his Spanish club until the end of the season.
