Jan. 14 (Bloomberg) -- Armajaro Trading Group Ltd., a London-based supplier of sugar, cocoa and coffee, appointed Andrew Stone as chief executive officer effective today.
Stone, who has been the trading house’s head of commodities since July 2012, will remain in that post for now, said Brian Buckley, a spokesman for Brunswick Group LLP, the company’s public relations representative.
He will also join the board of parent company Armajaro Holdings Ltd., founded by Richard Gower and Anthony Ward, the trading company said in an e-mailed statement. Gower, who had been acting CEO, will now take the post of non-executive chairman. Former CEO Richard Ryan left Armajaro Trading in September.
Stone joined the trading group in mid-2009. Prior to that, he spent 13 years at ED&F Man Holdings Ltd., where he held several positions including being responsible for the group’s raw sugar trading book worldwide, according to the statement.
