Jan. 11 (Bloomberg) -- Natrium Capital Ltd., founded by former Lazard Ltd. investment banker Alasdair Nisbet and ex-Goldman Sachs Group Inc. analyst Jonathan Tyler, said it’s hired Nicola Martin to its team advising on deals in the chemical industry.
The chartered accountant with a PhD in chemistry most recently worked at Deloitte LLP, and her career also includes a spell at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, according to the London-based mergers and acquisitions boutique adviser.
Natrium joins Valence Group in focusing on the $3.5 trillion chemical industry as western companies reconsider peripheral units and ways to accelerate expansion into value-added materials as well as new markets. Natrium is entering partnership agreements with other advisers in Asia to help extend its reach.
