Jan. 5 (Bloomberg) -- President Dilma Rousseff plans to appoint former Sao Paulo Mayor Gilberto Kassab to head the ministry of micro and small businesses once the new ministry has been created, the Sao Paulo-based weekly Veja reported, without saying how it obtained the information.
Rousseff, of the Worker’s Party, will also hire Senator Gabriel Chalita, of the Democratic Brazilian Movement Party, to work for the ministry of science and technology, the magazine said, without giving further details. Kassab is a member of the Social Democratic Party.
