Jan. 2 (Bloomberg) -- Jordan signed a 45 million-euro ($60 million) loan agreement with France to finance water projects including extending coverage in the Amman metropolitan area, the state-run Petra news agency reported.
Jordan will pay an annual interest rate of 0.05 percent for a loan to be repaid over 15 years with a 6-year grace period to finance projects in the capital for the Jordan Water Co., known as Miyahuna. Petra said Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Jafar Hassan signed the accord.
