Egypt Voters Approve New Constitution, Official Results Show

Dec. 25 (Bloomberg) -- An Islamist-backed new constitution for Egypt was approved by 63.8 percent of voters who cast ballots in a referendum that ended Dec. 22, the country’s electoral commission said today at a press conference in Cairo.

Turnout was 32.9 percent, the commission said.
