South Africa Richards Bay Coal Decreases Most in Five Months

Dec. 17 (Bloomberg) -- Coal export prices at South Africa’s Richards Bay, the continent’s biggest terminal for shipping the fuel, declined most in five months.

Coal for immediate delivery dropped $3.11, or 3.5 percent, to $86.62 a metric ton in the week to Dec. 14, the biggest drop since July 13, according to IHS McCloskey data on Bloomberg.

The fuel is quoted on a free-on-board basis, which excludes delivery costs.
