Ukraine’s LAZ to Assemble Buses in Bulgaria, Kommersant Says

Dec. 3 (Bloomberg) -- Lvivsky Avtozavod, a Ukrainian maker of buses, will seek to assemble buses and trollies in Bulgaria and Russia to boost sales abroad, Kommersant-Ukraine reported, citing Oleksandr Lobko, director of Citi Transport Group which manages LAZ.

LAZ is considering buying plants or entering joint ventures in Sofia and Gabrovo in Bulgaria as well as acquiring plants in Russia with a capacity of 1,000 vehicles a year, according to Kommersant. LAZ wants to sell buses assembled in Bulgaria to customers in Romania and Serbia, Kommersant cited Lobko as saying.
