Dec. 1 (Bloomberg) -- Sotheby’s holds a wine sale in Hong Kong this week featuring Hermitage La Chapelle as well as Romanee-Conti 1995 Domaine de la Romanee-Conti and Richebourg 1985 DRC Burgundies.
A three-bottle lot of Hermitage La Chapelle 1961 Paul Jaboulet Aine and a three-liter jeroboam of Romanee-Conti 1995 DRC each carry an upper estimate of HK$400,000 ($51,600), while a 12-bottle case of Richebourg 1985 DRC is estimated at as much as HK$220,000, according to its online catalog.
Leading the Bordeaux section of its sale is a case of Chateau Petrus 2000, estimated to fetch as much as HK$550,000, and two separate lots of Chateau Petrus 2005, one a 12-bottle case and the other six magnums, each estimated at as much as HK$300,000.
Zachys is holding sales over three days in New York at the end of this week, and taking the occasion to mark its 10th anniversary.
Wines up for auction include Bordeaux first-growth Chateau Haut-Brion 1961, La Tache 1990 DRC and a selection of Domaine Leflaive from Burgundy and almost 100 lots of Italian producer Gaja, including Barbaresco, Barolo and Brunello di Montalcino wines.
Acker Merrall & Condit also holds a three-day sale in Hong Kong.
