Nov. 27 (Bloomberg) -- The Romanian utility Aquatim SA awarded a contract valued at 33 million lei ($9 million) to Spain’s Construcciones Lujan SA for water network upgrades in the western part of the country.
The contract includes infrastructure upgrades in the city of Timisoara and was initially estimated at 47 million lei, according to a European Union procurement document. Aquatim received eight offers for the contract, the document showed.
