Nov. 24 (Bloomberg) -- Lewis Hamilton won pole position for tomorrow’s Brazilian Grand Prix, the final race of the Formula One season.
Hamilton posted a time of 1 minute, 12.458 seconds around the Interlagos circuit in Sao Paulo for his series-best seventh pole of the season. Jenson Button, Hamilton’s McLaren teammate, qualified second ahead of Red Bull’s Mark Webber.
Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel will start fourth on the grid as he seeks his third consecutive world championship. The 25-year-old German leads Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso, who qualfied eighth, by 13 points in the standings with a victory tomorrow worth 25 points.
