Two chefs from Heston Blumenthal’s The Fat Duck restaurant were killed in a car crash in Hong Kong on Nov. 19, the South China Morning Post reported.
Carl Lindgren, 30, from Sweden and Jorge Herrena, 34, from Britain died after the taxi they were traveling in was sandwiched by two double-decker buses, according to the report. The 53-year-old taxi driver, Wong Kim-chung, also died in the incident, it said.
The chefs, who were staying at the Mandarin Oriental, were visiting Hong Kong as part of a promotional tour for the Berkshire, United Kingdom-based restaurant, the Morning Post cited Nina Colls, communications director for the hotel, as saying. She didn’t name the guests, according to the report.
