Nov. 20 (Bloomberg) -- The European Union sold almost 5 million carbon permits at 6.47 euros ($8.28) a metric ton on the European Energy Exchange AG.
Bids totaled 12.1 million tons, or 2.7 times the volume being sold, according to EEX data compiled by Bloomberg. The sale was the third that the bloc’s regulator is making on behalf of 25 member states.
