Nov. 15 (Bloomberg) -- Nestle SA, the world’s largest food company, named Tim Brown to head its North America water unit effective Feb. 1 as Kim Jeffery, 64, assumes a non-executive chairman role after 20 years in the post.
Brown, 49, previously served as president and chief executive of Nestle Canada, the company said today in a statement.
North America helped lead sales growth in Nestle’s bottled water division in the first nine months of the year. The company’s bottled water brands include Perrier, Poland Springs, Ice Mountain, S. Pellegrino and Aqua Panna.
The North America division is based in Stamford, Connecticut, and the parent company is based in Vevey, Switzerland.
