Allstate Says October Catastrophe Costs Exceed $150 Million

Nov. 15 (Bloomberg) -- Allstate Corp., the largest publicly traded U.S. home insurer said catastrophe costs last month were more than $150 million as the U.S. Northeast was lashed by superstorm Sandy.

The insurer will release a more precise forecast when it is available, Northbrook, Illinois-based Allstate said today in a statement distributed by PR Newswire.
