Nov. 13 (Bloomberg) -- Romanian oil refiner Rompetrol Group NV says its fuel deliveries to Ukraine are being delayed by the Ukrainian customs service, Kommersant-Ukraine reported, citing Andriy Kuzmenko, who heads Rompetrol’s Ukraine office.
Customs inspection of as much as 10,000 tons of gasoline has been delayed since Nov. 1, the newspaper cited Kuzmenko as saying, adding that deliveries from two tankers with another 20,000 tons may also be held up.
About 50 companies importing gasoline into Ukraine are having difficulty with customs clearance, said Viktor Martyrosyan, who heads fuel retailer Donetskoilservis, according to Kommersant.
Samples of Rompetrol fuel are being inspected, Kommersant cited the customs service’s press office as saying.
