Nov. 12 (Bloomberg) -- Poland rejected a cargo of rapeseed from Ukraine because of infestation with mites, a notification to the European Union’s food-alert system showed.
A sample of Ukrainian rapeseed tested Nov. 9 in a border control showed 10 mites for each kilogram (2.2 pounds) of the oilseed, according to the notice from Poland published online today. The consignment was rejected at the border, detained and re-dispatched, according to the notice.
