Oct. 31 (Bloomberg) -- Kurita Water Industries Ltd., a Tokyo-based water-treatment system provider for homes and businesses, said first-half profit fell 38 percent to 4.9 billion yen ($61.3 million) from a year ago as revenue was little changed.
The shares, which rose 2 percent today, have declined 17 percent over the last 12 months. The company manufactures and sells water-treatment equipment and products including water purification and soil remediation systems.
Operating profit declined by almost 17 percent from a year earlier, the company said in a statement.
