Nov. 1 (Bloomberg) -- Japanese investors were net buyers of foreign bonds during the week ended Oct. 26 according to figures based on reports from designated major investors released by the Ministry of Finance in Tokyo.
Japanese investors bought 251.8 billion yen ($3.2 billion) in overseas bonds and notes, sold 36.5 billion yen in overseas stocks and sold 37.5 billion yen in overseas short term securities. That results in a total net purchase of 177.8 billion yen.
Foreign investors sold 362.9 billion yen in Japanese bonds, sold 15.4 billion yen in stocks, and sold 230.5 billion yen in short term securities, resulting in a total net sale 608.8 billion yen.
