Detroit Lions’ Nate Burleson Out for NFL Season With Broken Leg

Oct. 24 (Bloomberg) -- Nate Burleson will miss the rest of the National Football League season after breaking his leg in Detroit’s 13-7 loss at Chicago on Oct. 22, Lions coach Jim Schwartz said.

Wide receiver Burleson, 31, was injured in the third quarter as he was tackled on a 16-yard reception. He tried to stand and fell back to the ground.

Second-year receiver Titus Young and rookie Ryan Broyles will move into Burleson’s spot for the remainder of the season.
