Tottenham’s Dawson May Join Southampton or QPR: Soccer Roundup

Dawson Move?

Southampton wants to sign Tottenham center-half Michael Dawson, who is free to leave White Hart Lane in the January transfer window, the Daily Mirror reported.

Dawson, 28, remains a target for Queens Park Rangers, which sought to hire him in the offseason, the Mirror said.

Huntelaar Bid

Liverpool will try to hire Schalke striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar in January, the Daily Star reported.

Huntelaar, 29, has postponed talks to renew his contract with the Bundesliga team until December and could leave if they are unsuccessful, according to the Star.

De Gea Exit?

Real Madrid is eyeing Manchester United’s Spanish goalkeeper David de Gea as a future replacement for Iker Casillas, the Daily Mail reported.

De Gea is sharing goalkeeping duties with Anders Lindegaard at United this season, the Mail said.

Souness May Return

Former Liverpool coach Graeme Souness could return to coaching after six years away to lead Bolton in the Championship, the Daily Mirror reported.

Souness is on a shortlist of candidates along with Crystal Palace’s Dougie Freedman and former Wolves manager Mick McCarthy, the Mirror said.
