Oct. 14 (Bloomberg) -- Colton Chapple threw for two touchdowns and ran for two others as Harvard University defeated Bucknell University 35-7 to remain undefeated in college football.
In other Ivy League Conference contests yesterday, it was Lafayette 20, Yale 10; Princeton 19, Brown 0; Cornell 41, Monmouth 38; Pennsylvania 24, Columbia 20; and Sacred Heart 27, Dartmouth 10.
At Harvard Stadium in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Chapple ran six yards for a touchdown in the first quarter and then connected with Cameron Brate on a 14-yard scoring pass and Kyle Juszczyk on a 59-yard pass in the second quarter. Andrew Fischer added a 58-yard touchdown run to give the Crimson (5-0) a 28-0 halftime lead.
Chapple scored on a 59-yard run in the third quarter to end Harvard’s scoring, while Jeremiah Young had a one-yard score for the Bison (1-5) with 59 seconds left in the game.
The Harvard quarterback completed 11 of 18 passing attempts for 189 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. He also carried eight times for 120 yards and two touchdowns.
Brandon Wesley went 20-for-28 for 189 yards and one interception.
