Weather Office Reports That Germany Had Dry and Sunny September

Oct. 11 (Bloomberg) -- Germany was dry and sunny in September, with rainfall that was about 20 percent less than normal, meteorological office Deutscher Wetterdienst reported.

Rainfall was an average 49 millimeters (1.93 inches) last month, 12.1 millimeters less than the average for the 1961-1990 reference period, the office wrote in a report on its website today. The country had 169.4 hours of sunshine, about 20 hours more than usual in September, it said.

The average temperature for Germany of 13.6 degrees Celsius (56 degrees Fahrenheit) was close to normal for the month, Deutscher Wetterdienst wrote.
