Oct. 12 (Bloomberg) -- Japanese investors were net sellers of foreign bonds during the week ended Oct. 5 according to figures based on reports from designated major investors released by the Ministry of Finance in Tokyo.
Japanese investors sold 262.8 billion yen ($3.4 billion) in overseas bonds and notes, bought 53.5 billion yen in overseas stocks and sold 7.2 billion yen in overseas short term securities. That results in a total net sale of 216.5 billion yen.
Foreign investors bought 294.4 billion yen in Japanese bonds, bought 118.6 billion yen in stocks, and bought 317.9 billion yen in short term securities, resulting in a total net purchase of 730.9 billion yen.
