Tunisia to Cut Budget Deficit to 5.9% of GDP in 2013, ATAP Says

Oct. 9 (Bloomberg) -- Tunisia expects to cut its budget deficit to 5.9% percent of its gross domestic product next year, compared with an expected 6.6 percent this year, as economic growth accelerates, Agence Tunis Afrique Presse reported, citing Finance Minister Slim Besbes.

The budget for next year will increase by 3.1 percent to 26.3 billion dianrs ($16.8 billion) compared with 25.4 billion this year, the agency reported yesterday.
