Oct. 2 (Bloomberg) -- Three al-Qaeda militants including a Somali national were killed today when Yemeni security forces stormed a houses in the port city of Aden, al-Jumhoriah state newspaper said in a text message.
The Defense Ministry website said in a text message that the security forces discovered a workshop the militants were using to make explosives including car bombs. They seized a large number of explosives as well as explosive belts and car bombs, according to the message.
The ministry website said in another text message that security forces found a plan indicating the militants intended to target military and security leaders. Four police officers were wounded in the operation, it said.
