Oct. 1 (Bloomberg) -- Coal export prices at South Africa’s Richards Bay, the continent’s biggest terminal for shipping the fuel, declined to the lowest level in more than three months.
Coal for immediate delivery decreased $1.55, or 1.8 percent, to $84.61 a metric ton in the week ended Sept. 28, according to IHS McCloskey data on Bloomberg. That’s the lowest weekly price since June 22.
The price is quoted on a free-on-board basis, which excludes delivery costs.
