Oct. 1 (Bloomberg) -- Rompetrol Group NV, is seeking to invest $1 billion in five years in a joint venture with Ukraine’s NAK Naftogaz Ukrainy to retail oil products in Ukraine, Kommersant-Ukraine newspaper reported, citing Andriy Kuzmenko, the head of the Rompetrol office in Ukraine.
Rompetrol and Naftogaz completed a technical feasibility study of the joint venture and Rompetrol plans to supply as much as 400,000 tons of oil products to Ukraine next year, Kiev-based Kommersant reported.
Rompetrol Group did not immediately comment when contacted by Bloomberg News by phone today in Bucharest.
