Climex Exchange Handles 50,000 Voluntary CO2 Offsets in Auction

Sept. 21 (Bloomberg) -- Climex BV, a carbon permit and offset exchange in Amsterdam, bought 50,000 Verified Emission Reductions on behalf of an unidentified Dutch company in a reverse auction at 3.77 euros ($4.90) each, the bourse said.

The exchange bought Gold Standard voluntary offsets from renewable energy projects, it said in an e-mailed statement.
