Sept. 18 (Bloomberg) -- Germany is backing domestic wind-power producers as they seek to expand in markets including the U.S., Japan and Mexico.
Deputy Economy Minister Stefan Kapferer opened a German chamber of commerce event in Tokyo last week as part of a trip by wind-company executives to Japan, the ministry said today in a statement. Visits to the U.S., Mexico, South Africa, Egypt and Indonesia are also planned this year and next, it said.
