Sept. 13 (Bloomberg) -- Japanese investors were net buyers of foreign bonds during the week ended Sept. 7 according to figures based on reports from designated major investors released by the Ministry of Finance in Tokyo.
Japanese investors bought 788.3 billion yen ($10.1 billion) in overseas bonds and notes, sold 76.9 billion yen in overseas stocks and bought 24.7 billion yen in overseas short term securities. That results in a total net purchase of 736.1 billion yen.
Foreign investors bought 264.4 billion yen in Japanese bonds, bought 65.9 billion yen in stocks, and bought 847.6 billion yen in short term securities, resulting in a total net purchase of 1177.9 billion yen.
