Ukraine’s Corn Exports Impeded at Quarantine, Kommersant Says

Aug. 31 (Bloomberg) -- Ukraine’s quarantine office that inspects plants before being shipped in or out of the country has impeded exports of corn, barley and soybeans this month, Kommersant-Ukraine reported, citing Leonid Kozachenko, the president of the Ukrainian Grain Association.

Grain shipments this month were 1.5 million metric tons, below the Agriculture Ministry’s forecast of 1.8 million tons, Kozachenko said, according to the newspaper.
