Gold Futures Climb as Much as 1.1% to Highest Since May 2

Aug. 23 (Bloomberg) -- Gold for December delivery climbed as much as 1.1 percent to $1,658.90 an ounce, the highest since May 2, and traded at $1,657.80 at 8:10 a.m. in Singapore. Bullion for immediate delivery rose 0.1 percent to $1,656.70 an ounce, also the most expensive since May 2.
