Aug. 13 (Bloomberg) -- North Rhine-Westphalia may continue to acquire data on Germans who send funds to Switzerland to evade taxes, Rheinische Post reported, citing Norbert Walter-Borjans, the German regional state’s finance minister.
Walter-Borjans said in an interview he has indications that more data are available and he won’t stand in the way of purchases if the information can be helpful, according to the newspaper.
The minister will meet with Swiss ambassador Tim Guldimann this week after growing criticism of Walter-Borjans in Switzerland, Rheinische Post said.
