Aug. 10 (Bloomberg) -- A senior Yemeni security official was killed late yesterday in a car bomb attack in the southeastern province city of Mukalla, the state-run Saba news agency reported today.
Brigadier Omar Barasheed, dean of the Command and General Staff College, was killed when a bomb hidden inside the car exploded in Mukalla, the capital of Hadramaut province. He died in the hospital.
His bodyguard was also killed and his son wounded in the blast, according to al-Masdar, a local independent news website.
