Aug 10 (Bloomberg) -- Chelsea captain John Terry has been left out of the England squad for the exhibition match against Italy in Berne on Aug. 15, the Football Association said.
Steven Gerrard, Wayne Rooney and Ashley Cole are also among senior players left out as manager Roy Hodgson looks at younger candidates, including Tottenham’s Steven Caulker and Jake Livermore who are picked for the first time. Michael Carrick returns, having asked not to be considered for Euro 2012.
